Daniel Mahoney (Mahony) bc1791 and dc1889 in Ireland. He married Julia Kiely (daughter of John Kiely and Julia Sheehy) b1823 Currow, Kerry, d1899 Rahanane, Kerry. They had 7 children: John b1852, Jeremiah b1854, Daniel b1856, Patrick b1859, Julia b1861, Mary b1864, Nora b1867. It is known that Daniel, Patrick and Julia emigrated to Australia. Daniel landed in Port Adelaide, South Australia in 1876 on the 'Hydaspes', his future wife Mary Condon was also on board, they later settled in Victoria. It is not yet known when or where Patrick and Julia arrived in Australia, they too settled in Victoria. Patrick married Catherine Weldon (daughter of Gerald (Garret) Weldon and Julia Finnessy), while Julia remained a spinster.
