Jeremiah Moynihan was born about 1800. His wife was Mary Murley. They immigrated to Boston, Ma. in 1849 and settled in the area around Marlborough. Their children were: Ellen, Daniel, Catherine, Margret, Michael, and Jeremiah. My direct descendant is Daniel, born about 1832 in Ireland. Their first 5 children were born in Ireland; their last, Jeremiah, was born in Sterling, Ma. According to Daniel's son John's death record, his parents were from Co. Kerry.
This Jeremiah's had a brother, Daniel, who also immigrated around the same time. I've seen mention that their parents were Jeremiah and Ellen.
I'm visiting Ireland this April 2023 so hope to find out some specifics about what town my Moynihans lived in (in Kerry?).

Brian, my great grandfather, Jeremiah Moynihan, was born in the Freemount, Kerry Township in 1872 & his parents & siblings (except for my grandfather who emigrated in 1891) spent their whole lives in the Freemount & Rathmore areas. So your ancestors are very possibly from the same area There are a lot of Moynihans in the Rathmore Catholic church cemetery & in the old Freemount cemetery. Good luck on your trip.
