William Hayes was born about 1825 at Horeabbey Tipperary to parents William Hayes and Cath Maher. He married Mary Navin 9 September 1853 at Cashel, witnesses were Ed Hayes and Judy Hayes. Mary was born 1823 and baptised 20 December 1823 at Killenaule and her parents were Thomas Navin and Margaret Day. Their residence is shown as Buffhana. William and Mary had a son Thomas baptised 21 October 1855 at Boherlahan and their residence is shown as Knockanree. William and Mary migrated to Australia with their one year old son in October 1856, arriving 28 January 1857. I don't have any information about the parents William Hayes or Cath Maher - or the marriage witnesses Ed Hayes or Judy Hayes and would appreciate it if anyone knows anything about them.
