Edmund Maher of Boherlahan Parish married Mary Boland of Killenaule Parish on 24 Oct. 1833. They first lived in Erry townland where their son Michael was born in Aug. 1834. They subsequently moved to Noan Estate, living in Graystown townland. They had 5 more children: William 1836-1933 at Noan; Mary 1839-1919 in Pennsylvania; Hannah 1842-1895 at Cooleagh; Edmund 1846-1902 at Ballintogher; and John born 1848.
