This post reminds me of the service that my third great grandfather, John Mann Mann, (1770-1886) gave in the defense of Londonderry with William Duke of Orange. The family has treasured the jewelled medal with this reference in an inscription. Subsequently, he and his family immigrated to The Atlantic Colonies in 1826, now New Brunswick, Canada.
