William Brotherton was born 20 Aug 1835 in Navan, Meath, Ireland and died 31 Dec 1907 in Peekskill, Westchester County, New York, USA. His parents were Robert Brotherton b. abt 1796 in Ireland and his mother Anne Murray b. about 1797 in Ireland. Both of Anne Murray's parents were born in Ireland. William's parents, Robert and Anne and their children, migrated to New York in about 1846 with mose of their children. The remaining children came a few years later. The names of the siblings of William Brotherton are: John - born 1825, Elizabeth - born 1828, Hugh - born 1829, Robert - born 1830, Alice - born 1833, Ann - born 1838, Catherine - born 1840. It is believed, but not known, that all of the children of Robert Brotherton and Anne Murray were born in Navan, Meath, Ireland. I am interested in any records about this family including the grandparents of William and his siblings. The occupation of Robert Brotherton b. about 1796 was as a carpenter in the State of New York.
