Mary Roche was born about 1838 in Offaly (Kings), County Ireland. Her parents were Michaelis Roach and Joannae Malone We think she died in 1875.
Mary Roach (Roche) arrived in Melbourne, Victoria on board the EMPRESS EUGENIE on 3rd April 1858, having left Liverpool England, on 17 January 1858, with her sister Jane. She was listed in the ships log as Housemaid calling, from Ireland Tipperary County, Catholic, could read and write, and was 20 years old. Disposal list has her, Gone with sister to Mrs O’Sullivan, little Bourke St. (Mrs O'Sullivan would have been her other sister Rose Anne). We have been unable to trace her.
