The 1914 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final (deciding match of the Senior Football Championship; an inter-county Gaelic football tournament for the top teams in Ireland) drew in the last minute. The footage shows the All-Ireland Replay match which attracted more than 26 special trains carrying spectators to the replay match from across Ireland.
The replay took place on an extremely windy day; Wexford (the blues and whites) had the breeze in the first half and scored six points without reply, while Kerry (Killarney) scored 2-3 without reply in the second half to take their second title in a row.
The referee was none other than Harry Boland (1887-1922) who later became a close associate of Michael Collins (1890-1922).
