Catherine was admitted to Tipperary Workhouse in late 1849 as a 16-year-old Orphan.
She was selected under the Earl Grey Scheme to be sent to Australia and arrived in Sydney on 29 June 1850 with 242 other Female Orphans on Maria.
She settled in the New England area of New South Wales and had 6 children, 34 grandchildren, and 101 great-grandchildren.
Catherine died in 1903, aged about 65.
