The Cork Opera House Burns Down

On the 12th of December 1955, The Cork Opera House was burned down. It was 100 years old at the time.

The blaze of 1855 was caused by a combination of old faulty wiring and dry wooden interiors.

The Cork Opera House was not rebuilt until 1963.
