William Porter 1784 : Short Biography

William Porter was born in 1784, I do not know where.  I know he immigrated from Ireland, I do not know when or from where.  It's possible his name was William Alexander Porter III.  He had a son in Beaver County Pennsylvania on 12 March 1819, named Edward K Porter.  I do not know who Edward's mother was or if there were other siblings.  William lived with Edward and his family the for the rest of his life in America.    Edward Married Jane Watt, who I'd also like to know more about.  She presumably was Scottish and was born in 1810.  She married Edward K Porter on 19 July, 1841 in Beaver County Pennsylvania.  They had two children Elizabeth and Thomas Henry, my ancestor.  She died in 1846 within a year of the birth of Thomas Henry.  Edward then married Jane Baird, who was born on 20 July, 1828 in Perth and Kinrose Scotland.  They married on 13 March, 1848 in Beaver City, Pennsylvania.    Edward and Jane Baird Porter went on to have 9 children, and moved to Elk River Junction, Iowa where William Porter died on 31 August, 1872 and is buried in Clinton County, Iowa.  Edward died 6 November 1875 in Iowa.  And Jane Baird Porter died 27 August 1901 in Dike Iowa.  Jane Watt's parents were James and Jane Watt.
